The reality show Bigg Boss is definitely one of the best platforms for Bollywood actors to promote their movies and this is why almost in every episode of “Weekend Ka Vaar”, we got to see film stars coming on the sets of Bigg Boss for promotional activities.
Now the show is over but actor Sidharth Malhotra recently apologised for something that he did on the sets of Bigg Boss 11.
Sidharth appeared on Bigg Boss 11 to promote “Aiyaary” with his co-stars Manoj Bajpayee and Rakul Preet Singh and during the show, Manoj made him say a dialogue in Bhojpuri language.
Here’s the dialog:
“Sikar to sab kehu karela, lekin baagh jaisan sikar kehu na kare.”
Sidharth did repeat the dialogue but he also said,
“Aisa lag raha ki neeche baitha hua hai, latrine me. Bathroom me kar rahe hain ki kaha hain?”
Actress Neetu Chandra, who hails from Bihar, has claimed that she saw the video recently. She took to Twitter to slam Sidharth for disrespecting the Bhojpuri language.
“So disappointed @S1dharthM some1who is so fortunate 2 work wd d best. Who despite being an outsider has made a name 4 himself,4 U 2 use ur words so loosely.2 disrespect #Bhojpuri on national TV. SHOCKED! How on earth does speaking in #Bhojpuri gives u a latrine feeling.Shame on U”

Can u please translate it into English? No idea how he got d guts to insult an Indian language,I am sure if he insulted #Tamil or any other South Indian language,he would be begging for mercy by this time.I hope #Bhojpuri ppl start a protest & make him apologise for his stupidity

Later on, Sidharth also took to Twitter and issued an apology. He wrote, “I recently tried speaking a new language while I was on a TV show. In the process if I inadvertently hurt anyone’s feelings or sentiments, I apologise and assure you that no disrespect was meant in any way.”
